Launchbox scummvm mod#

A key benefit to eXoScummVM is having a single launch file per unique game title. Stable games are under ScummVM, while those that play but are still not fully implemented are in the ScummVM SVN platform. Swords of Xeen takes place on an entirely new world that is under attack by 'The Source', which claims to be the genius behind Alamar, the main enemy of Might and Magic V. The games have been split into two 'platforms' within LaunchBox. The game also contains bugs in scripting, which allow the player to bypass many encounters by walking sideways. Swords of Xeen exploits some quirks of the engine to great effect, such as morphing monsters by using the regular animation of one monster and the attack animation of another.

As development progressed, collaboration with New World Computing was established, and the mod received publishing support. Use the buttons on the bottom left of the screen to toggle between list and grid view. The Launcher opens whenever you start ScummVM, unless you launch a game directly from the command line. Have you tried just using the built in LaunchBox ScummVM logic to import and play the game Im referring to using the ScummVm page in the Edit Game window where you can tell the game to launch with ScummVM and then select the appropriate game from the drop down. The game began as a mod based on the Might and Magic V engine. The game was never published in standalone form. Then you can batch edit them to make them ScummVM games, but you'll probably still have to manually edit each one in order to match it to the proper game. Probably the easiest thing to do right now is to import them as DOS games.

Subsequently, it was also included in several series anthologies. Unfortunately, that's still on the to do list. Swords of Xeen is a bonus game in the 1995 Might and Magic Trilogy compilation (the trilogy refers to Might and Magic III, IV, and V).
